We, at the National Roads Institute, looking to improve the services and proceedings we offer the citizenry, have redesigned our Web Page, through which you can register your requests, complaints, claims and / or suggestions, besides consulting information regarding the Institutional Management.
Now we define a few useful concepts:
Right to Petition: It is the right every person has to present requests to the authorities or to certain individuals, and to obtain from them a quick solution concerning their request.
Petition: It is a respectful request, whether it is verbal or written, to a government employee, presented by a citizen in order to request the government's intervention in an issue of public and / or particular interest, or concerning some information or query related to the management of an entity.
The petitions may be:
For the general interest: These petitions are meant to produce an Administrative action directed towards the general interest.
For a particular interest: These petitions are meant to produce an Administrative action directed towards an individual interest.
Complaints: They are the manifestation of one's inconformity regarding the behavior or actions of a public servant.
Claims: They are the manifestation of one's inconformity regarding the services provided by an Administrative authority or said authority's performance concerning the services provided.
Information Petitions: They are the right to request and obtain access to information concerning the proceedings of authorities, and specially, to issue copies of the documents containing such information.
Query petitions: They are the right to make written or spoken queries to the Administrative authorities concerning the issues to their charge, without prejudice to the dispositions of special regulations. In these cases, the responses don't jeopardize the entity's responsibility, nor is their fulfillment mandatory.
